DYING & PRINTING
The focus of our dying and printing is on 100% silk fabrics and recycled fibers. Digital printing is our primary method of developing original artwork that forms the through line between RS home and RS fashion. Digital printing allows us to engineer prints and layouts specific to each item, thus reducing waste and overall fabric consumption while enabling small production runs. Digital printing also conserves water as it does not require the many wash and rinse cycles necessary in traditional wet printing. In addition, no screens or colorant baths are needed.
Our solid silk fabrics are made with non-AZO and non-formaldehyde dyes. In addition, our mill partners have a dual filtration system in place, enabling the reuse and recycling or water in the dye process.
